SCAM ALERT!! There is a scam going around using the Bishop of Victoria’s name as well as Fr. William Hann's name. If you receive a text message or an email from “Father William” asking for a “favor” which usually leads to gift cards and/or cash please IGNORE THIS MESSAGE. Often the initial message is an invitation to call or email him back. IGNORE that also. Fr. William has never, will never, and would never contact parishioners with this kind of request. If you get an email, look carefully at the email address, and report all suspicious emails and texts to the office. Stay vigilant!

OUR MISSION: To witness the presence of God by loving and caring for each other and living the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We are a faith community of over 650 families and part of the Roman Catholic Diocese of Victoria. The parish was founded in 1912 under the patronage of Our Lady of Lourdes. Our present church, dedicated to Saint Patrick was completed in 1960 and the Parish Centre and St. Clare Villa, a life-lease residence for seniors, were added in 1999.
St. Patrick's School, which opened in 1956, provides Kindergarten through Grade 7 and emphasizes both the academic and spiritual development of our students.
Our church is a place where all are invited in to discover who God is and the purpose He has for all of us in His story. We think church should be one of the most engaging and exciting places on the planet—a place where people of any and all backgrounds can experience a God who is real and relevant in their lives today. And that's exactly what we want to help you do!
If you've been following God your entire life, you're welcome here. If you're new to faith, you're welcome here. If you're not really sure you believe in God at all, you're welcome here. No matter where you are on the road to faith, we want to walk alongside you. Our hope is that as you join us on the journey, you'll discover a God who is active, alive, and at work in your life.
Church can be an intimidating place to visit — especially if you don’t know what to expect. We invite you to experience what the gospel means both intellectually and relationally at one of our Sunday Masses. You can engage with others and find places for your whole family to connect.
You are welcome as a visitor at Mass or any other service at St. Patrick's. You should not be concerned or feel uncomfortable because you may not know when to stand, sit or kneel. It is suggested that you stand when others stand and either sit or kneel when others kneel.
Catholics often genuflect on entering or leaving the Church as a sign of their belief that the Blessed Sacrament reserved in the Tabernacle is the Body of Christ. Visitors who are not Catholics need not genuflect but should act reverently as they would in any holy place.
During a Mass, many Catholics will come forward to receive the Blessed Sacrament consecrated at that Mass. This Communion is a unifying feature of their Faith. Those who do not share this Faith may remain in their place or may come forward for a blessing. To receive a blessing they should cross their arms on their chest when they approach the person distributing Communion.
We hope that through visiting with us, you will experience the hope, love and joy that comes from a community of people who love God and Jesus.
