bAPTISM
The Holy Spirit calls us to faith. Anyone of any age is always welcome to answer the call, come and see, learn about the Catholic faith, and prepare for baptism to enter a new life in the Body of Christ.
Adults wishing to be baptized are required to attend the Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA). This program is offered once a year through the parish. Call the parish office for further information 250-592-7391 or visit our Religious Education page.
For the baptism of infants and young children, parents are required to be registered parishioners, attend a baptismal preparation class (roughly two hours), and plan to raise their child in the Catholic faith. Candidates who are baptized as infants and young children develop their faith first in the home, through the example and guidance of their parents and godparents. St Patrick’s offers baptismal classes once a month for parents of infants and young children. Please see the parish bulletin or contact the office for the date of the next baptism class. Baptisms are scheduled on weekends within the celebration of the mass, with baptism dates being scheduled through the Baptismal Prep Coordinator.
Contact hcspbaptismalprep@rcdvictoria.org or the parish office for further information 250-592-7391 or visit our Religious Education page.
For baptism of older children (school aged), the child together with the parents are required to attend the Rite of Christian Initiation for Children (RCIC). St Patrick’s offers the RCIC program as needed. For RCIC contact the Sacramental Prep Coordinator Michele Bristow mbristow@rcdvictoria.org.

HOLY COMMUNION
Livestreaming of Masses will continue for those who wish to participate virtually. See the Events page for the scheduled times. You are invited to say the following prayer while watching our live-streaming services:
My Jesus,
I believe that You are present in the Most Holy Sacrament.
I love You above all things,
and I desire to receive You into my soul.
Since I cannot at this moment receive You sacramentally,
come at least spiritually into my heart.
I embrace You as if You were already there
and unite myself wholly to You.
Never permit me to be separated from You.Amen.

ANOINTING OF THE SICK
In an emergency call 250-889-3761 at any time for the Catholic Hospital Chaplain on duty.
Parishioners admitted to hospital should advise the Admitting Clerk that they are Catholics and would like the hospital visitors to be advised of their admittance. This will ensure that they are visited and can receive Holy Communion or arrange for the administration of the Sacrament of the Sick.
